Essential Oils

My Skin Care Regimen

I get asked quite often how I keep my skin so clear and clean, so I wanted to share what all I use to keep my face blemish free and glowing! The answer to the questions I’m asked is OILS! That’s right, I use all natural products to keep my face looking fabulous.

I start with my bar soaps whenever I shower. I use two different ones made by Young Living – the first one, Lemon Sandalwood, I use while my shampoo sets. I massage it into my face and it helps clear any and all dirt from my face! The second one, Melaleuca Geranium, I use while I condition. This one helps clear out acne (the Tea Tree portion does) and also moisturize (geranium). And what’s great about these two is that they clean my face so well that I don’t feel oily afterwards!

Once I’m out of the shower, I use my glowy face recipe! I have it in a glass dropper (I use a 2 ounce glass dropper) filled with Jojoba oil (the best carrier oil for faces)! And then I drop in 4 drops of Lavender, 4 drops of Frankincense, 4 drops of Tea Tree, 2 drops of Lemon, and 2 drops of Purification. I use a very small amount on my face since it spreads easily and I don’t want to be too oily. But this one seems to soak in pretty quickly for me! Once it is done soaking (I give it about 5 minutes), I wipe off the excess. When I wipe off, it pulls any extra dirt that my bar soaps didn’t get.

Occasionally, I will use a drop or two of Manuka on my face at night time. I apply this one without a carrier oil. This oil is commonly known for creating a “foundation free” face! Since I don’t struggle that much with acne, it isn’t one I need to use all of the time but it is so good to have on hand!
